Aerospace support on macOS Tahoe (macOS 26)

Hey guys! Don't see an existing issue so dropping this here - has anyone tested on macOS Tahoe?

Just updated to the latest developer beta and other than the windows resizing nothing else seems to work

Hello, I've been trying to use it for 2 days now, and for me, it mostly works (in terms of my workflow). The biggest issue I have observed so far is ghost windows detected by Aerospace. When I list windows in a workspace, it outputs windows from apps I killed. That is causing the actually visible windows to be resized.

I now use 'close-all-windows-but-current' bound to alt-q a lot and it makes it workable, I don't have a whole lot of windows open.

I have written this one

This doesn't worked for me by pasting it in terminal. and because I don't want to make a lot of sh files, i prefer to bind shortcuts to run a command as is from the aerospace.toml. I have made this which will work always, it focus's in the ghost window and then close it. worked amazingly fine.

I have checked Tahoe in virtual machine (UTM) and I couldn't find a thing that would be broken

And it's only the 1st Beta

The problem with ghost windows usually shows up after some time of usage, starting and quitting apps.
This is how listing windows for a workspace usually looks, the only actually running app was Xcode.

I'd be happy to provide whatever diagnosting info might be needed to troubleshoot this. But I know that chasing bugs with developer betas can get very tedious and unproductive.

I'm seeing the same thing as well with ghost windows, below is a video of the issue. It seems that you can close out these ghost windows with using a hotkey with close on it through Aerospace. If you close out a window with Cmd + W or hitting the red button to close it, it creates a ghost window. Testing Tahoe public beta 26.0 Beta (25A5316i) right now and I also run into the ghost window issue. The scripts posted here closing the windows work fine. Its very frequent for me though and I constantly have to close windows, otherwise it seems like Aerospace just ignores new windows and doesn't resize them correctly. As soon as I run the script, all existing windows get placed and resized instantly. Not sure how to provide debug info, let me know if I can help in any way!

I've found an issue: when using the Alt+Tab function, an error combination related to Alt+Tab and aerospace causes a thin line to appear in the Alt+Tab preview window for windows not on the active desktop. Windows on the current desktop display normally. All are the latest versions, and this occurs on macOS Tahoe develop beta.

Perhaps this error is not related to aerospace; however, I would like to briefly mention it.

This is from the MacOS beta and not really related to Raycast or Aerospace, in my opinion. This same thing happened during the last developer beta. I think it has to do with Apple enabling verbose logging on most processes during the beta. It should go away in a future beta update. There were a lot of people mentioning it during the last developer beta, but I never saw a concrete answer as to the cause. See npm/cli#7690 for an example.

Sorry for talking without any proof. I didn't know if this was limited to Raycast or not.
I meant to say that it was within my own observations.
It may be that WolffTeck is right, but in any case, it's frustrating that we can't do anything about it :(

Beta 2 seems to have fixed a few issues, node tasks not in taskbar is fixed for me.

For better or worse, macOS doesn’t allow to place windows outside the visible area entirely. You will still be able to see a 1 pixel vertical line of "hidden" windows in the bottom right or left corner of your screen. That means, that if AeroSpace crashes badly you will still be able to manually "unhide" the windows by dragging these few pixels to the center of the screen.

Is there an option to say I want to hide the window and show the window when I am in the workspace so it doesn't show at all but hides it to tray?

Just upgraded today to the stable version. So far two observations:

1. I was seeing ghost windows but then they disappeared before I could do anything.
2. The default Mail.app always gets positioned behind the menu bar and always on the left. I can't seem to change this:

+1 I also have the problem with ghost windows still in macos tahoe 26. Is there any issue that is open regarding this?
