Regression: Arc Browser "Little Arc" Floating Windows overflow off-screen in Tile Layout #1333

In addition to the issue mentioned in the title, the Actual Result describes how new windows aren't getting correctly auto-assigned to their appropriate workspaces right away any more (they were in 17.x). They instead open as Floating Windows in the active workspace and are only auto-assigned correctly after some other event is triggered (like navigating to their assigned workspace. These seem like distinct issues but it doesn't seem helpful to create separate discussions so I'll leave it to the maintainers to suss out. |

Steps to reproduce:
(With Arc Browser installed and set as the default browser)
1)Open Link in Little ArcExpected result:
The new "Little Arc" window opens in the assigned
Workspace 1, and tiles next to the main browser in Workspace 1, fitting within the screen's boundaries (including any padding configured). The two windows are resized to each occupy half of the screen. (This is how aerospace behaves in 17.x)Actual result:
The new "Little Arc" window opens in the active workspace (e.g. your Email apps workspace) as a Floating Window
One of two behaviors depending on next step:

a. Navigating to its assigned workspace (
Alt-1) causes the new "Little Arc" window to finally auto-assign toWorkspace 1and align to the screen's border, but it overflows into the space that the main browser window occupies instead of splitting the available space equally.b. Clicking anywhere immediately after the new "Little Arc" window opens in the active workspace causes the new window to finally aout-assign to
Workspace 1and align to the edge of the main browser window, but it overflows off-screen and at least partially out of view instead of splitting the available space equally.Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
