Disproportionate number of errors on Safari due to api/auth/providers

We have a multiple page app. We noticed a disproportionate number of failures to api/auth/providers with Safari

We are using next-auth 4.24.7
We think the following may be happening:

1. User attempts a sign in on page 1
2. Call to api/auth/providers is made
3. Before the session is fully loaded the user clicks a link to page 2
4. Another call to to api/auth/providers is then made and the original call to api/auth/providers is cancelled resulting in an error
5. We then get redirected to the error page by next-auth

Interested if anyone else has noticed this behaviour and any help would be appreciated
