Failure to apply database migrations at 2.7.11

I have upgraded to python 3.8, postgres is at 10 but I have no idea what to make of this error message.

Netbox runs fine in the browser but I cant upgrade any further until I get the 2.7.11 migrations to apply.

It looks like the version of rq you have installed isn't compatible with the version of django_rq you have installed. You can check the version of both with pip freeze.

Try running pip install -r requirements.txt from within the installation root to ensure you have the expected versions installed. You might also try downgrading rq to an earlier release.

Editing the requirements.txt to change "django-rq==2.3.2" fixed it.

@eptiliom - Could I ask which requirements.txt file did you modify? Did you do it in /opt/netbox or /opt/netbox-2.7.11 or maybe somewhere else? I'm facing the same error message but with doing an upgrade.

BTW - making the change in the /opt/netbox did make the upgrade complete w/o error but the webgui doesn't reflect the upgrade so I'm wondering if I changed the wrong file.

If the symlink for /opt/netbox is pointed to /opt/netbox-2.7.11 then they are the same file.

If you are following the instructions then /opt/netbox is the correct location because thats where you should be when you run upgrade.sh
