I wanted to know if someone that had this requirement ( which seems to be quite normal) , and i would like to see how other handled it.
In vmware when a ESXi Host, has several interfaces connected to a vSwitch ( either a standard vSwitch or distributed), normally two uplinks we can someway document that this is done by associating its label/link aggregation name with the corresponding vSwitch.
But when deploying Virtual Machines, inside a cluster of ESXi, we are missing this link. We can see how many Virtual machines are associated with a Cluster in netbox. But now how they are connected( what uplink they are using).
So the Virtual Machines in netbox are created correctly, and we can indeed associate it with a Virtual Machine, but i would like to link them with a "Parent" interface that is provided by the cluster.
I am interested to see how the community tacked currently this challenge.
Regards
Jose
