[SOLVED] cannot install django-auth-ldap

python 3.8
AlmaLinux release 8.3 (Purple Manul)

Steps to Reproduce

1. source /opt/netbox/venv/bin/activate
2. pip3 install django-auth-ldap

Expected Behavior
Interestingly, I was able to install on my system non(venv)... note pip version 19.3.1

[root@netbox-lab ~]# pip3 -V

Note the diff version... 21.1.2

So looks like 21.1.2 does not work for some reason... or it's too new...

I've tried many/many times....

using netbox pip3 (venv) never works...

pip 21.1.2 from /opt/netbox/venv/lib64/python3.8/site-packages/pip (python 3.8)

But using the systems pip 19.3.1 from /usr/lib/python3.8/site-packages/pip (python 3.8)
I never get this issue...

ok... solved...but only because I am able to install/download with the systems pip3 version 19.3.1
