Tags disapper when editing

Hi
I´m running version 4.2.7 and have given a group of users permission to edit some devices.
When they edit the device the tags on the device are deleted.
The reason is that the group do not have permission to view tags.
After adding view tags in permission it works.

Is this a good default behavior to nullify fields that you don´t have permission to?
Do not change would be better.
