Any way to render config on change/create?

We have a jinja template, that creates terraform config file for our VMs. We try to use "Event rules" to push created and updated files to git.
Is there any way to webhook or script the renderer (pushing result directly to git), without pushing additional external script, that start api-rendering on push?
