Upgrade an offline netbox

Hi.
I am currently trying to upgrade an offline netbox instance. I can't get this instance online, but I have access to a full RHEL repository.
Whenever I try to run the update script, it tries to get some pip packages, which fail because there is no internet connection. However, the needed packages are already installed.
How can I run the update script without having to deal with the pip-download stuff?

I think this StackOverflow answer captures the major points:

1. Download the Python packages on an Internet-connected host to a specific directory
2. Copy those packages to the offline host
3. Run pip install on the offline host with --find-links pointing to the copied directory

Disclaimer: I've not tried this myself. And of course you'll need to download and copy NetBox itself to the isolated host as well.

FWIW, NetBox Labs offers an enterprise version of NetBox with airgap capability, if you're interested.

Thanks for the help. I tried what you suggested, but I have no Idea on how to modify the update script to use the local repo. Plus, RHEL isn't any help eigher since it comes with python 3.9 and I need 3.10 minimum.
I tried to resetup everything on an ubuntu machine, update everything to the latest version and then export DB+Files and migrate them to the rhel server.
Currently I am running into an error where gunicorn can't find gunicorn and refuses to load...

I am officially giving up.

I will report back to eigher buy the enterprise version or live with an outdated version. (or hire someone which is more capable of managing python environemnts on rhel)...

Found a solution, and did it the worst way :-)

1. Dump Database and copy netbox-files to a new, untouched ubuntu 22-04 host
2. get it flying
3. update netbox on that new machine (with internet access)
4. setup a new RHEL 9 machine with clean and empty netbox, up to date version
5. get it flying
6. when update on ubuntu host is through, dump db and restore on new rhel 9 host
7. create vm ovf image and deploy in airgapped environment

I don't want to go through this again (especially the scanning and verification of files on the VM before putting it into an airgapped env...)
Worked for now. In the future I will go towards buying an enterprise licence.
