Cable Modeling: Filter Devices by components

When connecting a cable would it be possible to have the B side only show devices that have the component of the type you selected for the B side?
Example:
If your A side is an interface and you're connecting your B side to another interface, when you chose you B side type of Interface, the Device drop-down list would be filtered down to just devices that have an interface component. If it would be possible to take it one step further, it would be nice to have it filter by the site / location you're in and have a component of the type you're connecting too.
