Netbox installation issue #15951
-
I am trying to get Netbox up and running, and I have followed the instructions, watched the step-by-step videos, and retraced my steps many times. However I am having an issue on the 'test the application' step. I am able to connect to the development server no problem. I am even able to substitute the 0.0.0.0 IP with the IP assigned for Netbox, and it connects, however I do not receive a Netbox sign-in like the instructions state. I've tried to substitute the IP for the domain I identified, but it does not connect with the domain name. I've created the A record in our windows server for the domain and created the associated PTR record for it. Is there a step I am missing with the creation of the domain in windows server? Any help is appreciated; I would be happy to provide config files or logs if needed, just need to know where the logs would be located. Additionally, letsdebug is also unable to connect to the domain I give it. It states that "no valid A or AAAA records could be ultimately resolved..." even though I've created them in our windows server. |

This specific issue has been resolved. The issue was that the instructions were not explicit on how to login to the development server. I was attempting to do so within the same window in which I opened the server. Perhaps including a snippet in the instructions for "in a separate web browser, enter the hostname in the address bar to connect..." Would have saved me a few hours in troubleshooting. |
