Gitlab synchronization stucked in "syncing" state

We use a simple custom script that performs Gitlab data source synchronization every few hours.
Sometimes, for unknown reasons, the data source freezes in the syncing state and does not exit it.

Previously, in this case, starting synchronization manually via nbshell helped.
Exception SyncError: Cannot initiate sync; syncing already in progress was thrown and the status changed to failed.
Then the synchronizations were performed successfully for a while until the situation was repeated.

Now nothing helps, data source stucked in syncing. Is there a way to force the data source out of this state?
