Front port / rear port count issues with module bays

Hi all,

this was actually supposed to be a bug report, unfortunately I couldn't submit it, although all the required fields had been filled out.

We are currently using NetBox version: v3.6.6, Python version: 3.11 and experiencing the following problem.

We created a patchpanel (device type) with a module bay and inserted modules with front and rear ports. Until then everything worked fine. However, we then realized that we wanted to make some changes to the module and deleted it again.
Despite the module had been removed, the front and rear port were still being displayed in the counter. So we updated our module and inserted it back into the device bay, hoping the counter resets.
Unfortunately, that didn't work either and the counter just kept increasing.

It would be great to get some help with this.

Managed to open a bug (#14416) now.
