Custom validator - Why is this not working?

Hello,
im trying out custom validator in its simplest form but it is not working. I'm trying to force vlan group when vlans are created/updated
This is straight from configuration.py file.

CUSTOM_VALIDATORS = {
    # 'dcim.site': [
    #     CustomValidator({
    #         'name': {
    #             'min_length': 10,
    #             'regex': r'\d{3}$',
    #         }
    #     })
    # ],
'ipam.vlan': [{'group': {'required': True}}]
}

dont forget to restart Netbox after changes to configuration.py 😃
