Upgrading Netbox To 3.5.3 or 3.5.2 django error HaltServer(reason, self.WORKER_BOOT_ERROR)

I am trying to upgrade my netbox system from 3.5.1 to 3.5.3 but am running into a django error where the worker boot fails.
I am following the upgrade steps here: https://docs.netbox.dev/en/stable/installation/upgrading/

This server is only used for netbox and django was setup following the installation instruction when I first deployed 3.5.1: https://docs.netbox.dev/en/stable/installation/

Here is my upgrade steps:

wget https://github.com/netbox-community/netbox/archive/v3.5.3.tar.gz
sudo tar -xzf v3.5.3.tar.gz -C /opt
sudo ln -sfn /opt/netbox-3.5.3/ /opt/netbox


sudo cp /opt/netbox-3.5.1/local_requirements.txt /opt/netbox/
sudo cp /opt/netbox-3.5.1/netbox/netbox/configuration.py /opt/netbox/netbox/netbox/
sudo cp /opt/netbox-3.5.1/netbox/netbox/ldap_config.py /opt/netbox/netbox/netbox/
sudo cp -pr /opt/netbox-3.5.1/netbox/media/ /opt/netbox/netbox/
sudo cp /opt/netbox-3.5.1/gunicorn.py /opt/netbox/

sudo mkdir /opt/netbox/logs/
sudo echo "*****************LDAP Debug LOGS*****************" >> /opt/netbox/logs/django-ldap-debug.log

cd /opt/netbox/
sudo ./upgrade.sh

sudo systemctl restart netbox netbox-rq
sudo ln -s /opt/netbox/contrib/netbox-housekeeping.sh /etc/cron.daily/netbox-housekeeping

systemctl status netbox
journalctl _PID=56874

Here is the error when trying to start netbox after upgrading to either 3.5.3 or 3.5.2

Basic stuff, what are the permissions on gunicorn.py?

It was a permissions issues with the netbox user.
I didint think about how /opt/netbox is some kind of alias pointing to the directory of the current version.
Meaning though I gave the user permissions to /opt/netbox/ in the past that acutally just gave it permissions to 3.5.1 netbox directory but not the new 3.5.3
