Auto sync from local data source not working

I run Netbox in docker and mount a directory with custom scripts into the containers. Then I add a local data source in the WebGUI with that directory as source and add the custom scripts via this data source. The problem now is that even with activated auto sync, changes I make to the custom script file, don't appear in the script in Netbox. Even if I delete the script in the WebGUI and add it again, the changes still are not present and I get the old version instead. Did anybody else notice this problem? Do I do anything wrong here?
