Docker image for the whole Neper/FEPX suite

Dear community,
In order to ensure portability, I have built a Docker image integrating both Neper and FEPX.

For anyone who's interested, it can be installed with:

docker pull depriester/neper-fepx

Hi Dorian. Here is what I get:

$ sudo snap install docker
$ docker pull depriester/neper-fepx
Using default tag: latest
permission denied while trying to connect to the Docker daemon socket at unix:///var/run/docker.sock: Post "http://%2Fvar%2Frun%2Fdocker.sock/v1.47/images/create?fromImage=depriester%2Fneper-fepx&tag=latest": dial unix /var/run/docker.sock: connect: permission denied

At least, it seems to work out-of-the-box on CentOS and Linux Mint. I think it is related to the way Docker is installed (I see you've installed it with snap, not apt). Which OS do you use? Or are you on WSL?

I'm on Ubuntu (22.04). Maybe someone out there can help.

Unfortunatelly, I cannot help at this point because the only Ubuntu machine I have is running under WSL... but Docker does not work on WSL1.

I can read up on Docker and try it myself, too. Thanks for having a go at this.

We are also interested in using CPack to make deb packages, which could then be installed via apt. CPack is nice in that we already have integration with CMake, and deb is nice because we do most of our testing on Ubuntu (though we would not be entirely limited, either).

@rquey I have read that installing Docker on Ubuntu is not as easy as on other OSs (une fois n'est pas coutume), and I don't think installing it through snap is the proper way. See for instance https://docs.docker.com/engine/install/ubuntu/
