lamella identifiers

Hi @rquey , in the .tess file, the *lam "denotes the beginning of an optional lamella identifier field". If the lam_width is define as width=A:B, does this mean that 1 always denotes a lamella with width A and 2 denotes B, regardless which one is at the starting position in a cell?

I'm using -group lam==1?1:2 to group HCP and BCC crystals for simulations in FEPX and I wanted to confirm that this is the correct way to do it. I'm using pos=random in the lam settings.

Yes, your understanding is correct. You could even use -group lam...

Thank you. A follow up question: when assigning orientations, how to make sure that the orientations for different phases are correctly assigned, if the starting position is random? I'm currently assigning the orientations with a file for each cell, within the file there are two alternating orientations:

I would proceed in two steps, the first one to compute the morphology and the second one to do the same and set the orientations. Here is how on a small tessellation (and assuming you want to use Euler angles):
