How to use  odrive_ros with serial port?

We are using a serial port ttyTHS2 on an Nvidia TX2 board instead of USB.  Both odrivetools and odrive_ros work fine when using a USB port.

The odrivetools work fine when using the serial port but we were unable to get odrive_ros working with the serial. Is there any special setup we need to use to get odrive_tools working with a serial port?
