  • JSON RPC Structured Errors: a refactoring to query is merged refactor(jsonrpc): Add structured errors to query method in ViewClient and RPC #3944 (@khorolets) with a follow up fix fix(jsonrpc): Fix metrics usage and signature to prevent fails #4070
  • Removed "Missing Block" error type since it is not going to be possible to distinguish from "Unknown Block" refactor(jsonrpc): Refactor view_client structured errors according to removal of BlockMissing for GetBlockError, GetChunkError, QueryError #4079
• meta: Initial tutorial on Indexer Framework is ready to be merged (@khorolets): Add indexer guide docs#617
• borsh-rs: a new patch release happened
• near-api-js: experimental_protocolConfig is live
• meta: JSON RPC API video session on state changes around account balances has been shot with @frol and @amgando

  • Cover broadcast_tx_* endpoints with regression tests to unlock future refactoring (@khorolets)
  • Guard query(view_state) JSON RPC endpoint rejecting the calls to the accounts with "big" state (storage usage > N bytes) Reject view_state JSON RPC requests for big accounts #3950 (@frol) (now unblocked since refactor(jsonrpc): Add structured errors to query method in ViewClient and RPC #3944 is merged)
• meta: @telezhnaya is building the knowledgebase around the balances in NEAR protocol

Discussions

• Bowen: Is there a plan to provide some way to extract the state (given the guard limiting access to view_state query discussed above)?
  • Frol: The plan is to have the guard threshold configurable, so those who are in need can run their dedicated node with the increased threshold. Later, with NodeX team we may collect the feedback on the use-cases for view_state for big contracts and come up with a solution
