TI-nspire CX II CAS Ndless display

Hi, so I recently installed ndless on my calculator on version 6.2.0.333 (Awesome that its finally working!), and ndless works fine, but it launches any program flipped top to bottom (not side to side though, its backwards if I flip it upside down. I was able to install gpsp just fine, and it plays the game, but its messed up still. I assume this is an error with lcd screen compatibility? Any help would be wonderful, thanks!

Edit: Could it also be that it's the CAS version?

Edit 2: Did some digging and found that something in the lcd_compat.c section of the resources might need to be changed My guess is around line 213. Around as in about 20 lines in either direction, as it says stuff about display mirroring. I don't trust myself to compile or edit anything, I don't want to mess up this calculator too bad.

What's the HW rev of the calculator?

(On the Nspire CX II, the revision is actually 2 letters)

I'm not completely sure what you mean, so here is the code on the back minus the serial.

Ok thanks, this is a very new calculator (manufactured in March 2025) with the very latest hardware revision. It's in theory possible that TI changed some things, but we'll need more data/tests/information in general to be able to know what exactly is going wrong...

Alright! Let me know what I can give you that will help.

It only happens in compatibility mode. I was able to run nDoom with no problems and that was not in compatibility mode.

hey @Batwing99991 , the lcd_compat.c file handles the difference between pre hardware W and post hardware W. you seem to have hardware AU, which should be covered by the compatibility mode, unless TI has changed the display again.

could you send a picture of

• gpsp
• the "colors" demo, you'll find the file in the r2019 release under the folder samples.
• ndoom2

I can get you pictures of doom and gpsp, but I don't have access to my computer to put the colors test.

Doom does not give a prompt for the compatibility mode, and gpsp does. When I exit gpsp, the entire system stays like that, and AI have to press the reset button on the back to fix it, meaning I have to reinstall ndless.

Yes, all compat mode apps do this.

We speculate your calculator revision may use a different LCD controller, since Ndless modifies the OS LCD controller.
