As a suggestion for a workaround, maybe adding a command-line parameter that starts that function?
Then I could configure those commands in the standard Gnome/Ubuntu shortcuts settings. |

I had a look into this because I am (mostly) on Ubuntu and often need quick translations / KI-Commands. I found 2 issues:
EDIT: I found that they claim that it is resolved in Electron 35. To test it, it would need an upgrade from 32 for Witsy.
For 2. It could work, if Witsy would not try to copy the selected text itself on Wayland, but would rely on the user having copied the text himself like (as a proof of concept):
Would It be o.k. to have a look how to make a reliable PR for Wayland out of it? |

Hi,
Witsy seems great, but I find I am not using it that much, and this is mostly because global shortcuts on Ubuntu 25.04 are not working for me. I can trigger them using the menu from the notifications bar, but the shortcut is not having any effect.
The shortcuts also work when the chat window is visible and focused.
Has anyone run into this problem? Am I missing something?
