Using shortcuts on Ubuntu 25.04?

Hi,
Witsy seems great, but I find I am not using it that much, and this is mostly because global shortcuts on Ubuntu 25.04 are not working for me. I can trigger them using the menu from the notifications bar, but the shortcut is not having any effect.
The shortcuts also work when the chat window is visible and focused.

Has anyone run into this problem? Am I missing something?

As a suggestion for a workaround, maybe adding a command-line parameter that starts that function?

--quick-prompt
--new-chat
--run-ai-command
etc...

Then I could configure those commands in the standard Gnome/Ubuntu shortcuts settings.

I had a look into this because I am (mostly) on Ubuntu and often need quick translations / KI-Commands.

I found 2 issues:

1. The global short-cuts work some times, but one could start the command by pressing the menu button on the navigation bar. As I read there is a fix for Chromium ongoing, but might take long for Electron.

EDIT: I found that they claim that it is resolved in Electron 35. To test it, it would need an upgrade from 32 for Witsy.

2. But I found an other problem in the code which might be related to Wayland. The getSelectedText(): method in automator.ts does not support this way of working (at least in my installations), because automator.copySelectedText(), with the Nut-Automator fails for some reason.

For 2. It could work, if Witsy would not try to copy the selected text itself on Wayland, but would rely on the user having copied the text himself like (as a proof of concept):

I checked with Electron 35 today but unfortunately there seems to be an other issue with chromium, which is actively been worked on. Chances were merged last night. So nothings working yet. (electron/electron#45171)
