Bucket notifications / link with stream

It would be nice to link a bucket directly with a stream.
If input some data/ update into a bucket I get automatically a message in the linked topic.

Currently I use minio https://min.io/docs/minio/linux/administration/monitoring/bucket-notifications.html

But it would be nice to use also the build in object storage for this.

You can do this simply by creating a stream that sources from the KV's underlying stream.

You can even use subject transformation in the source to strip out the subject prefix the KV uses

For example:

 nats kv add a
 nats s add b --source KV_a --defaults
[user] ? Adjust source "KV_a" start No
[user] ? Adjust source "KV_a" filter and transform Yes
[user] ? Filter source by subject (hit enter to finish) $KV.a.>
[user] ? Subject transform destination >
[user] ? Filter source by subject (hit enter to finish) 
[user] ? Import "KV_a" from a different JetStream domain No
[user] ? Import "KV_a" from a different account No

Then you can test this (e.g. nats kv put a a 1 nats stream view b)

@jnmoyne oh nice. :) I will try it in one week (after my holiday trip) with the object store hope I can link the object path with the message stream.
