Migrating streams to a new authentication domain

We're using the decentralized JWT authentication domain. We have an old one that got really messy, we'd like to wipe that one away and start a new one that's clean and well managed.

Is there any way to migrate the old Jetstream streams from the old account into an account in our new authentication domain?

It seems like if we were to wipe away the old JWT's, create a new resolver to account for the new operator and push the new authentication domain we wouldn't be able to use those old Jetstreams due to being tied to the old accounts JWT.

The old Jetstream streams contain A LOT of data, so it would be fairly time consuming to backup the stream and restore it to the new authentication domain, we'd prefer to do it in place if possible.

Is the old stream and R1?
How big is it?

Best way is to backup and restore into the new domain.

The streams do not use encryption.

Hey @derekcollison, I am working with @rehmano on this. The key part here is that these deployments are on customer hardware, so our ability to do a backup and restore is limited both by the hardware constraints of the environment, and the requirements as to what systems the data is allowed to touch. It would be much more ideal for us to be able to do the migration in-place if it is possible due to this. If not, it's something we'll have to figure out how to work around. We're available to hop on a call if that would be appropriate.

Are you customers of Synadia? Its possible but involved to move over raw directories, but it is possible.
