TCP protocol for 4222

Hi there, I am deploying NATS to AWS EKS (service), and using a NLB in front of it. I can connect with a TCP listener, but not a TLS listener. I also see in the helm chart here for k8s, that 4222 also using TCP protocol. may I ask how's the encryption of the message achieved?

Also, when using a LB in AWS, what kind of target group linstener does it use? TCP listener or TLS listener?
