Extracting math formulas in LaTex format from bitmap imagery ?

Just curious, has anyone tried this yet ? Do you think this is useful ? Seems to be a great detection/recognition task that the bot could use.
P.S. Update: gpt-4-vision-preview seems to be doing superb job extracting math from .png 👍 Case closed, I guess 😆
