Failing test with upcoming ggplot2 version

Hi there,

We've been preparing a new major release for ggplot2 and found an issue during a reverse dependency check.
A test failed at the location indicated below. The length of a ggplot2 object has changed in the upcoming version, so this assumption no longer holds.

You can test your code with the development version of ggplot2 by installing it as follows:

# install.packages("pak")
pak::pak("tidyverse/ggplot2")

We aim to release the new ggplot2 version in about 2 weeks, and hope you can submit a fix to CRAN around that time. Hopefully this will inform you in a timely manner.

Thanks for the info, this is simple enough to fix. At the same time I will make use of some new features in ggplot2. Is the version number of the next release decided on?

Yes the next release will be version 4.0.0
