Description
Describe the bug
After installing the ML4W dotfiles and following all the necessary post-installation steps, I rebooted my system but was not greeted by the ML4W Welcome app. Additionally, I'm unable to launch the ML4W settings or sidebar apps—running them from the terminal results in errors like:
ml4w-settings
error: app/com.ml4w.settings/x86_64/master not installed
I have searched through existing GitHub issues and tried the suggested solutions, including setting up Flatpak and adding the Flathub remote, but the problem persists. I also tried using AI tools to diagnose the issue, but no success.
Another issue I'm facing is that the system lock screen (password prompt on boot) does not resemble the ML4W lockscreen shown in the documentation or videos.
Any help or guidance would be appreciated.
Steps to reproduce
- Install Arch Linux and set up Hyprland as the window manager.
- Clone and install the ML4W dotfiles by following the official instructions.
- Complete all the post-installation steps as mentioned in the ML4W documentation.
- Reboot the system.
- Observe that the ML4W Welcome app does not appear.
- Attempt to run ml4w, ml4w-settings, or ml4w-sidebar in the terminal.
- See error messages indicating that the apps are not installed.
- Notice that the system lockscreen also does not match the ML4W style.
Expected behavior
After installing the ML4W dotfiles and rebooting, I expected to be greeted by the ML4W Welcome app. The ml4w, ml4w-settings, and ml4w-sidebar commands should open their respective applications without errors. Additionally, the system lockscreen should match the customized ML4W look shown in the official documentation and previews.
