Id retrieval in advance for queueing

Is it possible to retrieve Job ID in advance before the job being processed? I will use it for queue status in my app, and periodically check the status of that ID.

I haven't tested it though, or, can i just retrieve the ID from /job-history and retrieve the first queue index upon creation?
