Why does the liquidator not calculate interest to determine whether accounts should be liquidated?

I was reviewing the alpha-liquidator and noticed it fetches the bank and marginfi accounts from on-chain without ever calculating interest accrual. And so, it determines whether a position is liquidatable or not through the account data, which may be stale. I was wondering why that is the case?
