Hi ucheokechukwu..! I was caught by the same issue , i tried a snippet which worked for me hope this could help you too.
Run it before model.load weights(checkpoint_path)

base_model.trainable = False

model_2.compile(loss='categorical_crossentropy',
optimizer=tf.keras.optimizers.Adam(learning_rate=0.001),
metrics=['accuracy'])
