mpv 0.40 + mpv-kscreen-doctor can't seek

For blu-ray playback using mpv-kscreen-doctor to adjust refresh rate and seeking using either timeline or chapters

mpv 0.39 works fine

mpv 0.4 without mpv-kscreen-doctor works fine

mpv 0.4 with mpv-kscreen-doctor seeking displays a still image at the new position but never resumes playback

Any thoughts on how to address this?
