Which watch_later directory is mpv using ?

Hi, I have two watch_later directories of my system : ~/.local/state/mpv/watch_later/ and ~/.config/mpv/watch_later/.

Both of them are containing watch_later files.

How can I infer which watch_later directory is mpv using on my system ?

~/.local/state/mpv/watch_later is the default.

Open and close a file with watch later option active and check which directory was modified/where a new file was added?

using the mpv console. open mpv then press the backtick key `. type print-text ${watch-later-dir} to find out which one of the two directory is being used.

@S-Aarab print-text ${current-watch-later-dir} shows (error).

again my bad :(, you need mpv >= 0.40.0 for that to work, bottom line use ~/.local/state/mpv/watch_later/ and you should be all set.
I’m clearly trying to help, but it seems I’m not doing very well at it.

you can also check logs for path which is probed.

Up to now, I didn't know about the mpv interactive console, which is great !

BTW : I had to downgrade mpv v0.40 to a previous version because it leaked memory on some ok.ru remote streams (but not all).
I'll try and open an issue later about that.
