How to install on something like pop

So... non linux expert, what are the steps to install on something like pop or ubuntu that is running steam?

So that dose not seem work, hence the post. I don't even get to generate a log.
If I give it execution permissions, and right click and pick run as program. It just opens up the the file as a text.

That's the desktop file you don't execute it like that, you should just be able to double click it and execute it? It shouldn't open up as kate

Well, if I double click it doses the same thing. .desktop doesn't seem to be associated with anything so it just opens it. If I call it ./ from the terminal same thing happens.
I did try the /bin/bash -c 'curl -Ls https://raw.githubusercontent.com/moraroy/NonSteamLaunchers-On-Steam-Deck/main/NonSteamLaunchers.sh | nohup /bin/bash -s -- "Epic Games"'
and that seemed to do something, claim to install, though I can't find anything in steam or lutris.
I'm not sure what the expected behavior is or what it should be opening but at least in Pop_os, which is really just a debian skin... the behavior seems unexpected.

@bushibot I see, OK, since you ran in with Konsole then, is there a log in your downloads folder?

There is. Also I noticed that it DOSE open correctly if I run KDE instead of the default pop Gnome. I'm not smart enough to know what to make of that other F'ing nix and other swearing :). I don't prefer kde though :(.
