How to crop an image

How do we go about cropping an image? Presumably given a center point SKPoint or members, or possibly a SKRect SKPoint and SKSize or members. Does it crop to a variable in memory, and we need to extract or export to file?

Is that the Clip family of canvas functions, perhaps, along these lines? Although it is not necessarily clear, what happens to the rest of the canvas, or is the rest apart from the clip geometry lost? Although, keeping it simple, I am not anticipating crazy polygons or anything like that in our use cases, mostly orthogonal square shaped regions, this sort of thing.

This is the immediate next thing to get my head around, but I am operating on the impression it is Clip or one of its variants that I am after.
