Your comment on hn @bradgessler is what my fork does partway :}
It's just a small adaptation to build the html from EDN.

For now all I made was a script as a seed for exactly what you had in mind. I lack the programming skills but seeing the original annotated documents really inspired me to want the same thing. A gui to collaboratively mark up textual docs with annotations. Like a combination between a forum and published google docs comments. For me, bonus points if you could load and rehost articles from arbitrary sources, normalizing text like a reader mode

I think @molly it looks like they're all generated from pug? Did you handwrite that manually or was there something else up the line?

I handwrote it, though a little automation to make things easier would go a long way. Maybe next time I use the tool I'll put some cycles into it.
