CONSULT-(GREP|FIND): when called with one prefix argument, file/dir selection starts at current directory instead of full path of current directory

I am using a custom function where consult-(grep|find) are called with one prefix argument by default.

I would like to see the entire path in the dir selection instead of only the current directory (displayed as (default ./), because it sometimes is the case that while I am somewhere deep(er) in the directory tree (like in dired), I want to search somewhere else. Currently, I need to manually change directories before running CONSULT-GREP, and ideally I would like to cut this step.

Am I overlooking something? I tried checking the README and looked at past issues and the wiki but could not find anything related to what I am asking.

Removing and re-installing consult-related packages indeed fixed the issue. I am surprised, however, because when I checked, consult was shown to be at the latest version.
