How to improve transfer speed

I have one large file e.g. 1 GB. When transferring files using `storeFile` method, the speed is at least two times slower or worse (depending from which machine I am transferring) than mounting and using `cp` or `rsync` command. Is it possible to somehow improve the transfer speed in pysmb?
