i've been using nimble for a few days now, but today i went back to forklift for a few hours for a feature that's missing here.
The current behavior of "duplicate" is perfectly fine, i know, but the one in forklift can save time.
My case:
while developing, i work with some file that is costantly deleted, and need to place it back.
With current behavior of duplicate: first i duplicate the file, and every time i need my file back, i duplicate the copy, getting one named "copy 2" and then need to rename it to remove "copy 2".
Suggested behavior: when i duplicate the copy, if the "original" is gone, the new file is named without the "copy" part, exactly as the original. No need to rename.
I understand that this can be achieved by copying to another folder in the other panel. It's unnecessary, but I got used to it, and it felt so good when i've found this feature. I'm sharing this because I see it as a smarter behavior, but that's debatable, and I'd understand if you don't feel the same.
Thanks for your work!
