Key Shortcut for "Play next segment"

I've got actioncam files that I need to split for my friends and me. In one file I have about 20 segments.
Since I want to put the segments into different folders after cutting (sorting them out) I am using labels and let them add to the filename.
That works great but after entering the label for a segment and hitting ok, I have to switch to mouse, click the next segment to see the person who in the segement and then hit enter for naming the segement.
There is a "jump to next segment" key shortcut but it does change the time position of the playback, so that doesn't help me.
It would be great to have a key shortcut not only for "jump" but to "play next segment".
Or is it already there and I just cannot find it?
It would be so great to have this so switching between keyboard and mouse all the time would not be necessary.

Not sure I understand exactly, you don’t want to press «jump to next segment» followed by «play»? You want both these actions in the same button press?

Back from vacation ;-)
The "problem" is that "jump to next segment" and "play" does not work.
Because if you hit "down" button the next segment is highlighted but the "current position" (not sure how the white bar is called) does NOT move so if you then hit play, then the video continues at the old position, no matter what segment you have jumped meanwhile.
So perhaps this is even a bug? I would also think it would make sense that if you jump to a different segment via hotkey, the "current position" should jump to the beginning of the selected segement?
But if its on purpose that the "current position" is not moved (on selecting a different segment) then an additional "start playing highlighted segment" function would make sense.

Again the "simple" use case: I have a video with lots of segment (one segment is a ride of one person).
I want to label each segment with the name of the corresponding person.
To identify the person I need to see at least the first frame.
Currently if I hit "down" for next segment, the next segment is higlighted but the "current position" does not change. So I dont know which person is on the segment and also "play" does not help because its not playing the now highlighted segment but the old postion.
So currently I have to change to mouse to click into the next segement and then back to keyboard to hit "enter" and enter the name, switch to mouse for clicking into the next segment, switch to keyboard for entering name and so on...

there is a hotkey shift + ← "Jump to current segment's start time".

So I believe you can press ↓ or ↑ followed by shift + ← to seek to acheive this.

but yea I agree it makes sense to have a hotkey to jump + seek. I will add hotkeys for this in the next version
