Source for OpenAPI description used for generation?

I understand that the project is generated with Microsoft Kiota, but where is it getting the OpenAPI description from?

I see that kiota-lock.json has "../../msgraph-metadata/clean_v10_openapi/openapi.yaml" for the description. This makes me think it's in the msgraph-metadata repo, and the README on that repo indicates as much.

But that repo doesn't have a matching file at clean_v10_openapi/openapi.yaml. Instead, it has the description at openapi/v1.0/openapi.yaml.

I ask this, because I'm using this SDK, in conjunction with my OpenAPI own code generation, sourced from msgraph-metadata/openapi/v1.0/openapi.yaml. But I often find that there are parameters in there that are not supported in this SDK. I also experience this issue when sourcing the OpenAPI description from https://aka.ms/graph/v1.0/openapi.yaml.

Is this project getting it's OpenAPI description from somewhere else? Info on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for using kiota and for reaching out.

You are correct, these are all the same files in the end. The reason why the lock has a relative path is because we run the generation in a complex Azure DevOps pipeline, in which we have a local copy of the description.
My suggestion is that you use the aka.ms link in case we ever change the location of the descriptions :)
