Unable to download python extension

Hello!
I have been having trouble trying to download the python extension. I have deleted python and vs code and I have tried it a couple of times. I have also tried downloading it manually but the issue with that is that I can't ever find the .vsix file after extracting it. Would anyone be able to offer any guidance, it would be greatly appreciated.
