The python code is not running

Hello!
I have got a problem. Help me please. I try to run python code but the console is empty (only venv, ekaterina-VirtualBox: /my_env$), the process is not running. It worked a week ago. I did not change any settings. At least I do not remember it.
I checked launch.json. It is right. The interpreter has not changed.
I also note that I can run this python code successfully using operating system terminal. In this case, the terminal outputs information.

FYI that link doesn't work. You can upload GIFs here on VS Code. If the code is breaking on a git pull then I'm afraid this is probably related to your Python code and not the Python extension itself.

Help me please to solve this problem. My boss (mentor) says that I should use the operating system terminal in this case but it is important for me to understand what happened. I continued experimenting with VS Code. 1.I can set the path in the VS Code console (it is important to be in the appropriate folder with the file being launched) and then the code will run, but for a number of reasons it is inconvenient for me to use this method. 2.I created .py file, changed the path in launch.json . This code is run by right mouse click "run python code in terminal" vs code) but this file is not running by "run without debugging"-VS Code console is empty (only venv, ekaterina)
3. my initial code is run by right click "run python in terminal" VS Code but it appears : import algo, modulenotfounderror:no module named algo
I don't know what I should do. I have been working in IT for 6 months. Help me please.

The issue is you are running Python 3.6 which is no longer supported by the Python development team, debugpy (our debugger), or the Python extension. Our Python support promise is covered in our README and the dropping of debugger support for Python 3.6 and older was announced on our blog post at the end of March for our April release.

You can either follow #19559 , our blog, or the VS Code release notes to see if we end up making a separate debugger extension that will have initial support for Python 3.6. Otherwise I would advise you upgrade to a newer version of Python as 3.6 is no longer supported by the Python team itself.

Thank you very much, you helped me a lot! I installed Python 3.7 and the problem was solved. I have got one last question, please tell me, since the problem appeared immediately after git pull, is it related to this action or
is this pure coincidence?

It's pure coincidence that it corresponded to your git pull.

I'd like to add that this problem appeared after "git pull".
Also today I set up a working environment on my second operating system ( Ubuntu 18.04 without using VirtualBox etc) from installing Wireguard to launching venv and VS Code. I did "git clone". Now I have got the same problem.
