Feature parity with ADS, how to suggest ideas?

This is a question for the MSSQL dev team (especially those of you who're former ADS teamers, @kburtram)
In the light of ADS discontinuation...

How would you like users to present and vote on ADS features we want in MSSQL extension?

Would you like us to create Issues? Discussions? on this repo? Is there another way you're tracking?

For example, I;d like to see the SSDT project tooling moved over (Schema Compare, import/export dacpac, sqlproj) I'd also like to see the SQL Profiler extension available as a VSCode Extension.

I this your intent? How are you all tracking community asks?

Hi @joshbooker, thanks for reaching out. We really appreciate the engagement as we continue evolving the MSSQL extension!

The best way to suggest features or vote on them is by using GitHub Discussions or GitHub Issues in this repo.
Here’s how we’re tracking community asks:

• Feature Requests: Submit or upvote here
• Discussions: For broader conversations or feedback that might not be a fully formed feature yet.
• Roadmap: You can also check out our public roadmap to see what’s already planned or in progress.
  (All the information I'm about to share is already disclosed there.)

Quick updates on the features you mentioned:

• Schema Compare is coming soon — it will be introduced as a Public Preview in our upcoming release.
• DACPAC import/export tooling is already planned, but it will be available later.
• SQL Database Projects already exist in VS Code as part of the extension pack that gets installed alongside the MSSQL extension.
• SQL Profiler: As mentioned in multiple threads, this feature is not currently planned. We are aware that it’s a popular request.
  I will consolidate feedback about SQL Profiler next week so you and the rest of the community can vote in a single place — this will help us assess demand.

Important to note:
Our focus for the MSSQL extension is to build a modern, lightweight experience optimized for developers.
We are not aiming to replicate the full functionality of Azure Data Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, or SSDT.
Instead, we're prioritizing scenarios that help developers create, manage, and optimize database schemas as part of their application development workflows — both locally and in the cloud.
