using ctest preset with test explorer

I might be missing something,
I have picked active test preset and click Run CTest (doesn't matter if from the test explorer or from the status bar) and seems that command doesn't use the active preset.

the command that gets invoked:

ctest.exe -T test --output-on-failure --build-config Debug -R ^MyProj\.MyTest$

when the test runs, it is missing the run environment configured for my project, am I missing something?

@mikirothman What do you mean that it's not using the active preset? What are you expecting it to do?

Since we have to parse things ourselves, there won't be an argument --preset. Looking forward to learning more about your case.

My test presets have bunch of environment variables (composed by conan due to my dependency graph) which I need in order to launch my tests,
So I guess I was expecting to see them along the ctest command.
Due to the missing env vars the tests fails when running from the test explorer.
Running CTest —preset ${my-preset} from the terminal pass the env vars to my test executables

That makes perfect sense. With that context in mind, could you convert this to an issue? This way we can best triage and put this on our backlog.
