Default value dependent on parameter type

Is there a way to have a different default depending on the type of a parameter? I was thinking something along the lines of:

model X<T> {
  f: string=T extends Record ? "record" : "primitive";
}

We do not support conditional template expression like TypeScript does right now

you can write a custom decorator that does it but that's I think the only solution right now

Thanks @timotheeguerin. Do you know if it is on the roadmap? And on that topic, is there a roadmap document to understand what might be coming?

We've had it on the back of our mind as something we might want one day but it hasn't been officially suggested as a feature request yet.

And we do not have an strong roadmap past the Github millestones which are more or less preresneting what we'll work on the next 1-2 months.
On the next few months our main focus is getting all of Azure services migrated to TypeSpec and patching gaps we find so it will be unlikely to have new major language features.
