Images are not displayed when using reStructuredText in docstrings for python module

The following syntax in image file gun.png in the same folder as init.py . init.py has a docstring with the following but the image does not show when hovering over the import my_module. All the rest ofthe docstring shows up fine . The rest of the docstring follows .rst format and displays fine but not the image
