pac connection update to convert "user connection" to "service principal connection"

Hello,
Anyone know if the pac connection update command supports converting a connection to use an app registration service principal instead of a user setup? I tried it out and it said it was successful but when I went to the UI to look at the connection (or any cloud flows that use the connection), it didn't seem to be updated.
