Is Coachmark planned for Fluent UI V9? Alternatives for attention-grabbing teaching UI? #34297

As far as I know, the Teaching Popover does not natively replicate some of the attention-grabbing features that Coachmark provided, such as animated beacons, spotlight effects, or onboarding-style interactions. But Fluent UI React v9 includes the Create Presence Component, which allows developers to define and manage animations for UI elements. This can be used to create a pulsing or glowing effect around the TeachingPopover trigger to draw attention (https://react.fluentui.dev/?path=/docs/motion-apis-createpresencecomponent--docs). cc: @Mitch-At-Work |

I don't believe this is currently planned, we did have it on the roadmap for eventually however I haven't seen any design or component research updates - it was deemed a seperate component to TeachingPopover itself so we did not tackle that as part of the popover experience.
Regards,
Mitch

Hi team 👋
I'm currently migrating from Fluent UI React V8 to V9, and I noticed that Coachmark is no longer available in V9. The component mapping guide suggests using TeachingPopover as a replacement.
While TeachingPopover works well for inline instructional content, I'm looking for guidance on replicating the attention-grabbing functionality that Coachmark provided — such as the animated beacon, onboarding-style interactions, or spotlight-like behavior.
Is there a plan to bring Coachmark (or something similar) to V9?
If not, what is the recommended Fluent V9-friendly way to draw attention to a UI element and trigger a TeachingPopover from it?
Any guidance, examples, or roadmap info would be much appreciated!
Thanks a lot 🙏
