.NET Framework 3.5 container images will no longer be published

We plan to stop publishing .NET Framework 3.5 images. This is after we stopped publishing .NET Framework 3.5 images for Windows Server 2025 earlier this year.

We will make this change starting October 14, 2025.

It will affect the following container repos:

• mcr.microsoft.com/dotnet/framework/runtime
• mcr.microsoft.com/dotnet/framework/aspnet
• mcr.microsoft.com/dotnet/framework/sdk

This change affects Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 images.

If you are using .NET Framework 3.5 container images, migrate to .NET 8+, .NET Framework 4.8+, or build your own .NET Framework 3.5 container images.
